Some of the popular story hours had hundreds of people subscribed and the server couldn't handle all the notifications without slowing down, especially because these same story hours attracted new posts often.As for the original question, I tend to follow threads I am interested in for as long as they are active. As long as people are still discussing it, I'll keep checking in.
