I'd like to know approximately how many 4 hour sessions it takes you to DM/play a single Dungeon adventure (or other similarly sized adventure). I am generally assuming the type of adventure in 3.x that takes you up 2 per adventure like they way an AP is designed.

I am not talking about the 96 page or larger adventures that will take a party up 5 levels or more.

If you play longer sessions, then break it up into 4 hour chunks to make sure the polling data is consistent.

We've done a few of the Goodman game and Dungeon Magazine ones and the Eberron adventures. Each usually takes a session or 2 for us to complete. The longest module we have done is Eyes of the Lich Queen and that took us 7 sessions but it is a much longer module. And then World's largest dungeon took about a year but that was a different group. :D

Wow... that's fast.

It seems to take me about 5 (4hr) sessions to complete a Dungeon AP adventure. Granted, we do it in like 2.5 eight hour sessions, but only 4-8 hours? Is there a lot of RPing going on in these sessions?

About two to three for me. Unfortunately the options were for 1-2 and 3-4 so I just voted 1-2 since I think two sessions happen slightly more than three sessions.

Ya, plenty of role playing. We go through combat rather quickly.

2-3 sessions, though those are 6 hour sessions. Even with intense roleplay. We only have maybe a 1/2 hour to an hour left in The Prince of Redhand, which has so far taken 2 sessions.

A typical Dungeon adventure takes my group about 3-4 sessions to play through, usually 4 rather than 3. We play for about 3 hours per session, so that would be around 3 of your sessions. Once in a while they'll rush through things and manage 2 long sessions for a lower-level adventure. We rarely get above about 8-9th level, though, and I cut XP so that they only level once for a typical adventure like that.

If I do run an AP, I guess I'll either have to let them level more often or insert a lot of my own side adventures (that's the more likely option, I think).
