How might Feng Shui handle an all-Wrestler campaign?

I've never played or even seen a rulebook for Feng Shui before, but once payday comes, I am totally supporting the sequel book on Kickstarter.

Seeing a thread in the form about someone starting a Wrestling Arena, plus with some random buzz from my own players about some WWE history, I've been motivated to check out Feng Shui to see how it might handle having the players as some kind of stars in some kind of Wrestling League.

I'm hoping that at least one EnWorlder has used this system and I'd love to see their take on their experiences either playing or running it. Would it be possible for said system to support such a game?

First you've just missed a pretty good wrestling RPG kickstarter. I'd prefer that to FS for wrestling campaigns.

Second, what do you want out of a wrestling RPG? High action? It's pretty good - although heavily guns and martial arts focussed. Backstage drama? Wrong game entirely.

Well, unless the backstage drama includes the Ancient Wrestler-Sorcerer King, yeah. :)

I haven't played Feng Shui in a long time, but I imagine it should not take too much work to work out how wrestling works in its martial arts framework - so long as we are talking like modern professional wrestling, writ large. WWE/Mexican Wrestling wackiness should be reasonably easy to do, since Feng Shui relies on player description of action.

Well, I realize it handles chop-sake action and guns and what not, but who's to say that kind of stuff doesn't happen to wrestlers outside the ring?

I can easily fill in the RP side of things. If players describe their attacks, then they'll all need to know a fair bit of wrestling moves just to describe it properly.

I'm not how description works if players aren't familiar with martial arts...

You don't have to name the particular move. Just describe the action.

"I run up the side of the building to kick him in the face as he pokes his head out."
"I slide along the banquet table, firing both guns as I go"

And so on.
