That's a really loaded question, since it depends on your constraints. I'll take the 1994 Planescape Campaign Setting box set, since I'm obsessed with old strange settings. MSRP is $30 USD, with inflation that's about $65 (still cheaper than Adventures in the Multiverse I guess?). Ebay has that listed for 100 to 200 USD depending on condition. There's some time dependence, I'd swear it was ~400 CAD last time I looked a few years ago, it seems much cheaper now. So 3x to 6x more expensive for used depending on how preserved you want it and how well you can bargain for it. DrivethruRPG has the PDF for 14.99 USD. So 1/2 off the list price if you want to go digital. (Less than 1/4 of the inflation adjusted price and a small fraction of the going used!) Print-on-Demand copies start at 32 USD for the soft cover version and 44 USD for the hard covers, which is almost the original price without adjusting for inflation. You could naively apply those ranges for a rough estimate. Taking the $666 USD for the whole Planescape line from part II, that's 2000 to 4000 used for used copies, less than 300 USD for digital (ignoring seasonal sales!) and 700 to 1400 USD for reprints. (n.b. The additional assumptions of availability here, not everything is available PDF yet, and even less of it is available POD.) I'd wager this methodology would work to some degree with older stuff if you wanted to apply it to full editions, assuming you're not looking for antique mint grade quality. The newer stuff is going to be over estimated, 3e and 4e books don't seem to be appreciating in value yet. 5e is all mostly in print, you can still get a full set for less than MSRP depending on how hard you look and bargain for. So, to sum all up, it probably would be much less than a half a million to recollect everything from scratch, assuming you're going for used, digital, or reprints; and not mint grade quality (like new). Less than $200 000 USD if this naive assessment holds up and you're willing to accept fair condition products or bargain hard. (And woe if you live outside the US, because the USD -> CAD conversions and shipping to Canada is exorbitant in my case... )
