The thread title is pretty self-explanatory....how much does the average kobold weigh?

The MM entry doesn't say anywhere....and the range given for small creatures is fairly broad (8-60 lbs).

When creating Kobold characters I always use the random tables for halflings and call it good.

I'm going to be really ticked off if this kind of thing isn't in Tooth and Claw.

Since the standard adventruing wizard can use a Kobold like a soccer ball, I would say about 1.5 lbs. Maybe 6 lbs with all their armor and other gear.

I'd say no more than 45 pounds and not less than 30. They also impose the -4 penalty for exotic weapon when used as such.

Kobolds also make a lovely pate' when seasoned with anise.

On a serious note, a kobold is about the same height and weight as a halfling. So with them having comparable mass, use the halfling height and wieght range from the PHB.

I just weighed our family kobold and he weighs 25 pounds, but he's a bit overweight and we're putting him on a diet, so you might want to round that down...


(Oh, wait, that was the family dog, not a kobold after all, so never mind.)
