How much Force Material is in Power of the Jedi and Dark Side Sourcebook?

I'm pondering picking the two of them up, but I'm not quite sure about it(it's for my homebrew).

Basically, just need an answer to the question above.

Ooh, also, rather than clog up the boards with another topic, can anybody give me a link to Ken Hood's Psionics system? I lost my copy.

Theres quite a bit in both, though some of the crunchy bits from Dark Side made it into Revised. PrCs for Sith (apprentices, warriors and lords), dathomir nightrider witches and for jedi masters, teachers, healers and weapon masters. Stats for force spirits (dark and light), force-sensitive creatures, Masassi and Exar Kun's alchemical creations. Rules for force training, jedi dueling, sith alchemy and other fun stuff. And of course, more force skills and feats.

IMHO, they're worth it for a force-based campaign.

He's going to work them into his home-brew bastard-child-of-all-magic systems-one-in-all magic system for his campaign world. I actually like the idea. Gives the game some flavor, but on the other hand, MUD gives things a lot of flavor as well(just not the kind you'd want);)

No, they're being used for separate traditions of magic, not an all-in-one system. Force Use will be part of either psionics or(more likely) martial arts and Ki powers.

Ahh. I'd still recommend them then. eg. Power of the Jedi includes Mortichiro (essentially force acupressure, IIRC) and the Force Warrior, a mixture of equal parts Jedi and Monk without a lightsabre in sight.

I have to second Kweezil, reccomending the books.

In addition to the cool prestige classes, I was impressed with the number of useful feats to be found in the Power of the Jedi book. Of course, I run a Star Wars campaign, so you may not find them quite as useful.

Still, I enjoyed both books and would totally reccomend them.

To answer your question, there is a lot of "force stuff" in both. I don't think either one gave to much space to history or setting-specific info.

Good luck with your game!
