Magic: The Ripoff).Do I have a problem?  Do the other people here who have spent thousands on their hobby have a problem?No.My uncles have a hobby too- they collect motorcycles.  They fix them, maintain them, trade them, and ride them to rallies.  They probably own over 25 of them... and even the biggest RPG collections listed here can barely pay for one of them... and none of my uncles can be considered "rich".  My father has hobbies as well- he buys golf course memberships and expensive sporting equipment... that ain't cheap.  Nor are his occasional trips to the Indian casinos, where he sometimes plops down over a thousand dollars in a night.  My philosophy advisor has a massive collection of philosophical and scholarly books in his basement- his wife catalogued over 5,500 of em'.  He easily spent over $50,000 on that collection over the years. (Probably more like $100,000, given the value of some of the volumes in his collection...)Compared to those kind of hobbies and collections, roleplaying is DIRT CHEAP.  And every bit as worthy a hobby, IMHO.</blockquote>
