It sounds like you are just new and excited about the experience. But I would say 2-3 books is too many for most people (and I want you to buy books because I sell them). My advice is to limit your time online, and to make sure gaming isn't interfering with your productivity. Most people game once or twice a week. IMO once a week to once a month is a healthy range if you have other responsibilities (but this varies depending on your situation and the circumstance). Gaming is like anything else (whether your talking about internet chat rooms or fantasy football), it can interfere with more important aspects of your life, if you indulge it too much. On the other hand, it is a rich and rewarding hobby that results in fun and friends. I suggest talking to your wife about your gaming to see how she views it. My wife is understanding, but if she has an important event, and I schedule a game over it, she lets me know there is an issue. As a general piece of advice, just like everything else, don't let your hobby get in the way of family or work. As a matter of courtesy, inform your wife about your gaming schedule for the month. If you game every sunday at a specific time, let her know and make sure this doesn't get in the way of anything. Better yet, invite her to come see a game for herself. The only thing that makes me pause here is, if you felt the need to ask us whether there is a problem, I get the feeling there may be one. You might just be very cautious person however.
