The Swiss Micro line has the DM41, DM41X, and DM42, which are dedicated HP-41C, HP-41CX and HP-42 workalikes. But at around $250 each... If I sell of some of my games, I might be able to get one... but the ones I don't mind selling are also the ones that have most players playing either newer, older, or both, editions... I'd love a prime running a pure RPN baseline... I'll note that HP has rereleased an RPN other than the prime... the HP12C is still available direct from HP. and I was wrong, my was a 48G, not a 38G. I still have it, but the keyboard is DEAD. And they are sonically welded closed at the factory. No easy way to repair. If Swiss Micro manages to come up with a DM48G, I'll come up with the probably $250. One of the best things about the older HPs was that they had a processor with BCD math, so base10 didn't «bleep» fractions as badly when converting to decimal. Plus, I used it as a die-roller, a Traveller orbital travel time calculation, and several other nifties, so that it was highly beneficial in several aspects of GMing... Hell, I broke my phone while running WFRP recently - I was doing the maths for their trading activities in Death on the Reik, and using Emu48, and it slid off the table... I also have more errors because touch screen buttons are not as positive as the tactile switches on the 48G itself. I really should have automated that BEFORE running DotR; I knew it was coming. I could have done all the math on paper - but doing so would have taken me longer. I can't run most RPG trade rules without a calculator (or a set of predone comprehensive tables) within a reasonable time.
