I think people are not seeing the intersting question here: why "Adventure"? All the issues with the poll are mere symptoms of the underlying machiavellian intiruge that is at the root of this post. The clue, is in the "Adventure" tag. Ask yourselves, why would mythusmage, a respected and sound member of our community, put an Adventure tag on this poll? Mythusmage is wise and knowledgable, and surely knows it is not the fitting tag. If he put it there, there must be a reason. Is this just a small oversight? An error? A momentary lapse of reason? I think not. From the dawn of time mankind has been at war, an eteranl war with the predators of this world. And now, a book is published, pertaining to tell you everything about them - their HD, their vulnerabilites, even how to hunt them. I warn you - this is nothing but a ploy to lure us into false assurance and pride! By putting the "Adventure" tag on this thread, mythusmage is subliminally suggesting you join the great adventure and try to hunt the animals yourselves. And by providing misleading information in the book, he and the writers hope to create a massive wave of unsuccesfull hunters, whose blood will herald the apocalypse! Imagine the poor hunter's suprise when he finds out that a black bear has more than 4 HD! The numerous d20 players that will be trampled to death by an enraged elephant, thinking a mere 1d12 axeblow could do him in! The flood of blood that will drench the world, the souls taken by the claws of these fell beasts, will echo more primordial times where man fought these same beasts for mere survival. From there, it is but a small step to reach a more distant time, a time before man, before reason. THE BLOOD OF THE INNOCENT SHALL OPEN THE WAY TO THE DREAMING ONE! For is it not MythusMage that has brought this post upon us? BEWARE THE RISE OF CTHULHU!
