Message: <blockquote data-quote="megamania" data-source="post: 2211945" data-attributes="member: 9255">During the early to mid eighties I had friends try to get me into gaming but I flat out refused.  I felt there was no creative release in it (was I ever wrong).  When I reached college another group of comicbook collecting friends tried a nicer way.Keep in mind-  one was the owner of the shop-"Here is the Dungeoneer's guide.  Look it over.  Sit in on a game.  If you want try it.  If you like it- KEEP the book."My character was still being rolled up when he died (damned ghouls) and I have played ever since.  That was 1989 around August or September.I came into a sizeable inheritence of which I bought first a large JVC component stereo system then began beefing up my DnD collection.  It was solely TSR and Torg I bought then.  Next item with inheritence was a car so that I could get to gaming much easier.Like you, I have a huge collection of books that largely collects dust on the shelf of 2.0.  I am the proud owner of anything Darksun.  3.0 came out and I began buying again.Of my possibly 300+ 3.0/3.5 books I say only maybe 15 don't get used regularly for some reason.I tend to go out of my way to use things from all books and just adjust them for the current game I am running.I run an Eberron game every two weeks with other 25-35 year olds.  I have had a few requests by 16-18 year olds in my area to DM for them.  They have read some of my THE CREATION SCHEMA Storyhours and loved it.   I also write my Strikeforce: Morituri Storyhour that takes in history and items from ALL game worlds and types and my UNDER A DARKSUN which I continue to do.  Now looking at a graphic Storyhour but I have having problems getting the size to work and the such here.   Several of our artists of EN World are giving me excellent suggestions since I am computer stupid.Miniatures are another thing I collect and will not throw away.  I have several 1000 metal figures, Heroclixs and of course the new minis by WoTC.That's about it.   oh and the wife tolerates it, my daughter wants more unicorns used and my son has learned how to swear from my gaming group.</blockquote>
