As a Designer: When the SRD comes out, I'll write third-party product for 4e, both for my own multistatted products and for other companies who want to put out 4e material. I'll still release 3e-compatible versions of all my own electronic products until such time as it no longer seems to be a market. I've sent queries to the new Dragon, but hopefully there have been technical difficulties because it's looking like post-Matt Sernett Paizo all over again in terms of lack of response to freelancers. :( As a GM: IF it proves better for my Tactics/RPG purposes than Star Wars Saga Edition, I'll switch immediately or 3-6 months afterwards, depending on where I'm at in a SWSE campaign, if active in one at all. Right now, I'm thinking 4e WON'T be better for my purposes, so I'll probably stick with SWSE. That's doubly true in light of some of the new d20 Modern (er... Modern20, now) material coming out of RPG Objects. As a Player: 4e seems almost certain to suit me better than 3e, so I'll get in on at least one campaign to try it out. But, it's still D&D, and most people in my area are likely to still run it largely as high/epic fantasy, so the genre won't suit. If someone embraces the Sword and Sorcery vibe they seem to be going for with some of the 4e material, I'll be all over that.
