"Great Ranger" for what? Profound Gnome Gloomstalker is fine in the event that you need to play in obscurity all the time :) Tracker Archetype is quite playable from a harm stance and with the choices in it can make up a couple of various sort of Hunter type Rangers. I played a Goliath Hunter one time with Colossus Slayer and it was extraordinary enjoyment. Beast Slayer is tuned to battle things like Illithids and enchantment clients (so get the Mage Slayer Feat too) Skyline Walker finds a good pace versatile (so beginning with a Wood Elf and getting the Mobility Feat are extraordinary extra's to the subclass) on the grounds that a 45′ development, with no Opp. Assaults for leaving scuffle + at eleventh level the capacity to assault multiple times in the event that you assault 3 unique animals while transporting 10′ between each assault and afterward dodging into the Etheral plane or throwing cloudy advance to move another 30′ in a round is extraordinary enjoyment! Multiclassing and Feats can add incredible flavor and inconstancy to any form. A Rogue(Swashbuckler)/Ranger (Horizon Walker) sounds too amusing to play. I've referenced a couple of accomplishments that are fun as well. Bows and arrows Fighting style with the Athlete accomplishment can make for some enjoyment strategies. Fire bolts, drop inclined so extended assaults against you have hindrance. Remain with just 5′ of development, fire bolts, move the remainder of your development and drop inclined once more, and so forth. Everything relies upon what you're hoping to do or investigate as an officer with respect to what makes a "Decent" form. Hell, if all you need is a reinforced pet in the entire game, Beast Master could be a decent class for that enhance. It is presumably the most fragile/least fortunate structured subclass in 5e, yet it very well may be enjoyment in the correct game/situation/and so on.
