Thanks for all the ideas! It helped get my wheels turning. A little more background. I just sprung on the PC that his sister is still alive after 15yrs last night. He knew she had been turned, but had though she's been destroyed. One of my other PCs is a warlock with an archfey patron. The PCs went to the feywild and visited her to see if she could lend them aid on their current adventure. The paladin also asked her if she knew how to cure a vampire. She said she didn't as she doesn't deal in such magics, but recommended he petition the Queen of Air and Darkness. In my game, she is an archfey who rules the Winter Court. So now I am figuring that the Queen will first request some favor in exchange for her help. Then the PCs will need to find a way to get the paladin's sister to the feywild and to the Winter Court. Because the Queen is twisted, she'll say that the vampire must be killed be someone who loves her (the paladin). She'll say it's because only when the vampire is killed with love can the human soul be brought back intact or something like that. Then will the Queen bring her back to life. So essentially I am doing a play off of the kill & resurrect idea. I'm debating if I should add a McGuffin of some sort that is part of the "ritual."
