Some more interesting items I'm working on... Dao Bread: This bread is made out of a luminous fungus found only within the elemental plane of earth. This fungus is mixed with flour and other ingredients, the dough formed is then sprinkled with finely ground gem-dust and baked. The resulting bread is a swirl of color (depending on the gem color used) that beautifully glows and sparkles in the dark. The flavor of this bread varies on the group of Dao that made it and the gem used. The bread is said to be delicious and hearty by those that have acquired a taste for it, something that is usually difficult for non-planars considering the ingredients (though it is in no way harmful). Coin Beacon: These coin-shaped jade stones are often used by experienced planar travelers to find their way back home from long journeys. When the jade coin comes in contact with a magic portal it vanishes merging with it. It then sends out a mental beacon to the user for up to 12 hours. Once activated, he know the direction and distance to that portal, as long as the user is in the same plane. See Portal Beacon (p37 MoP) for more information. Dead Stone: These chunks of rocks are pieces of dead deities found floating in the Astral. These stones seem to hold immense magical power, when viewed with Detect Magic or other similar magics, but seem to have no real purpose or usable power. They sell mostly as collector’s pieces or by researchers who wish to tap into their power, though no one in recent history has ever succeeded at this. Shadow Globe: These glass globes appear to be filled with a pitch-black smoky substance. This is shadow-stuff from the plane of shadow that is collected through an alchemical process. If the globe is broken on the ground, a 40’ radius becomes Desecrated (PHB p192). Essence Stones: These small heavy stones come in several colors, each representing a different inner plane; a red stone for the plane of fire, a blue stone for the plane of water, etc. They are created by gathering energies from an especially dense elemental area within the appropriate plane and then trapping it within a precious stone of at least 300 gold piece value. Lastly if Essence Stone touches an opposite element within an opposite plane it will create an Elemental Pocket (MoP p66) that lasts for 5 minutes. This causes the Essence Stone to shatter and loose it’s enchantment. Paragon Diamond: Only found deep within the elemental plane of earth, these massive diamonds are utterly flawless and are prized by many. Paragon diamonds are difficult to work with and require twice the Craft (Gemcutting) DC then does a normal diamond to properly yield the stone out of the raw diamond.
