I see a lot of people talking about adjusting for the individual party, and about strategy/tactics/terrain/leveraging NPC abilities, and even quite a few talking about creating custom monsters (without indicating they ignore CR guidelines when doing so) because there are few options and/or using lower CR monsters can be a slog, but not saying that "completely changing the CR of monsters is necessary". If you factor out the myriad of posts by CapnZapp and a couple side discussions, these posts make up a large part of this thread, perhaps even the majority.</p></blockquote><p></p>
