Southern bands like Lynard Skynner and the Allman Brothers were more about being rebels and the flag represented that to them because they didn't like was what going on in Washington at that time.It infuriates me when they want to take the flag down that flies at the Confederate museum&nbsp; or over the the fallen soldiers in Confederate grave yards they fought and died under that flag. I don't think the flag should be flown at state capitals it is not appropriate but not because of racism but because it represents sedition against the US.</blockquote>
