Hmm, I seem to be the only one updating this thread of late. Oh well, we played two short adventures today in my "Down to Erthe" campaign. In the first adventure, the PCs:

Were directed to check out Thistledown Park, where a thief from the guild two of the PCs work for was to have met with a client last night at midnight to pass over the item he'd been hired to steal from a wizard; according to the aggrieved client, the thief never showed
Entered the park (picnic area, statue, playground, hedge maze, flower garden, koi pond, and some trees at the south end) to find everything in chaos:

A girl was buried up to her neck in the sandbox, but seemed to have been drugged in a euphoric state
A boy was tied up on one the swings
A family of three was standing on a picnic table, being menaced by an irritated skunk
Two people had been trying to find their way out of the hedge maze for the last hour or so

Saw the changeling rogue being attacked by the statue of the park's founder, but he quickly determined it was an illusion (the statue hadn't actually moved at all)
Watched as the human monk approached the swings, only for one rope to detach from the swing set and entangle him like the boy next to him; it took him two rounds to escape, during which time he and the human scout were engulfed in a euphoric gas that left them almost senseless
Saw the snow fox hengeyokai wu jen find out the skunk was being harassed by a hummingbird and she killed it with a wand of magic missiles; oddly, the bird died but the sound of its rapidly-beating wings did not
Saw a wolf approach and harass the family standing on the picnic table, but determined it too was an illusion; on her word, they fled the park
Had the changeling use his true seeing to determine the hedge maze interior was an illusion of changing walls and there was a 3-inch-tall pixie flying above it
Had the hengeyokai cast an elemental burst spell on the center of the hedge maze after the changeling said the pixie would be within range; the wounded pixie flew over by the statue upon being hit by the exploding splinters
Had the scout dig the girl out of the sandbox after overcoming the euphoric gas she'd inhaled
Had the hengeyokai cast a hypnosis spell on the pixie, suggesting it become visible and call any of its allies to do the same
Had the changeling enter the maze and lead the two parents out, reuniting them with their kids (the boy from the swings and the girl from the sandbox)
Had the boy show them the "cool thing" he'd found in the grass that morning: it looked like a magnifying glass with a lever along its outer edge and a button at the end
Listened as the pixies explained the item was a fairy glass that allowed a person on the Material Plane to open a portal to the Fairylands, and the boy had apparentrly opened a portal much bigger there than it was here; as a result, when they passed through it (out of curiosity), the three pixies and their faerie dragon friend showed up much smaller than normal - they thought they'd entered some sort of Giantland, but determined to have fun with the locals while they were here
Convinced the four Fairylands creatures to return the way they'd come (after the pixies set the device to return them back at their original sizes back home), then searched the trees behind the park and found the body of the missing thief
Determined the wizard the thief had stolen the fairy glass from had discovered the theft and sent his gargoyle minion to go fetch it back; upon seeing it approach from the air, the thief had thrown the fairy glass aside in the grass, intending to flee the gargoyle and then retrieve his stolen item, only to be slain by the gargoyle (who then couldn't find the stolen item and returned back to his wizard master empty handed)
"Bought" the fairy glass from the boy for a gold piece (that's 100 pieces of candy!), and returned it to the thieves guild, so they could pass it on to the client who'd paid to get it - it's now his problem dealing with the frustrated wizard and his gargoyle minion
Got paid 100 gp each as a "finder's fee" for finding and returning the stolen item and the thief's body
And, since this was a short adventure, upon its completion we went through the next one in the same session.
