Message: <blockquote data-quote="Richards" data-source="post: 9805534" data-attributes="member: 508">In last Wednesday's "Middle of Elsewhere" campaign session, the PCs:<ul> <li data-xf-list-type="ul">Got a full explanation of the mission they'd just completed, which entailed their memories being erased about the location of the Factory where kolyrut inevitables are created</li> <li data-xf-list-type="ul">Made purchases with the money they'd earned, when the alarm bells around Elsewhere began ringing, indicating an invasion</li> <li data-xf-list-type="ul">Saw two formian warriors carrying glowing nets advance upon the two structures in which the PCs were standing: the orc fighter and human druid in the armorer's shop, and the human cleric and elf witch in a magic shop; in each case, the formians caught the building's owners (an azer blacksmith and a human wizard) in their thrown nets, which had mind fog properties</li> <li data-xf-list-type="ul">Took out these initial wave of formian warriors without too much incident (well, except for my human cleric getting stabbed again and losing 6 points of Strength - again! - to the point I've decided he's probably allergic to formian warrior venom)</li> <li data-xf-list-type="ul">Saw the second wave approach: two more formian warriors, this time with a formian taskmaster</li> <li data-xf-list-type="ul">Had the druid summon a shadow hippogriff, only for it to be dominated by the taskmaster and sent to attack the druid (who quickly dismissed it after it clawed him)</li> <li data-xf-list-type="ul">Had the with and my cleric focus on the taskmaster (she using ranged spells like magic missile and Melf's acid arrows and me deploying my spiritual weapon, which was surprising effective for once), while the druid and fighter (and the druid's flame-tailed dire fell fox) went after the warriors</li> <li data-xf-list-type="ul">Saw the mind fogged merchants wandering off to a "pick up point" where the third wave - two more formian warriors - were there to take them away to their nest</li> <li data-xf-list-type="ul">Took out the warriors and ended up with the orc chasing down the mind fogged merchants, while the others all attacked the taskmaster, eventually taking it out</li> <li data-xf-list-type="ul">Found out the attack had started when another, higher-level party of planar scouts had been dominated by a taskmaster and used their abilities to teleport an invasion force into the middle of Elsewhere</li> <li data-xf-list-type="ul">Further found out the mayor of Elsewhere had been successfully abducted - hello, next week's plot hook!</li> </ul>Johnathan</blockquote>
