Message: <blockquote data-quote="Planesdragon" data-source="post: 1935411" data-attributes="member: 11133">First question: Which version of Publisher are you using?  2003 and 2004 should have a "HTML, filtered" option, which should clear out the round-trip crud.  If Publisher can't work for you, try <a href="http://www.openoffice.org/" target="_blank">OpenOffice.org</a> -- works like MS Word, WYSIWG, haven't heard anything bad about its HTML.  Or, you could go get the latest version of <a href="http://www.mozilla.org/" target="_blank">Mozilla </a>with its composer, or if you're brave go to the Nvu beta from <a href="http://www.nvu.com/" target="_blank">www.nvu.com</a>.  (Nvu is Mozilla composer expanded, which in turn is the Mozilla HTML-mail editor expanded to do web pages -- which is, in turn, Netscape rewritten)   As for the image map -- assuming that you are using a map similar to <a href="http://www.uwnys.org/find.shtml" target="_blank">this one</a>, and not just simple rollovers -- i use <a href="http://www.abdn.ac.uk/tools/ibmpc/mapthis/" target="_blank">Map This!</a> to do them.  Works wonders.</blockquote>
