Oooooh I wanna know who "Finalist A" is! Anyway, good on them for catching the subterfuge, which sounds like it was mostly pretty half-assed. I'm glad they're being proactive, especially after what happened last year.

I applaud the attempt at transparency this year. But after what went down in 2023 I have more or less written off the Hugo awards as being about as meaningful as the Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards or a Miss America title. Nice resume padding, but not much else. Despite their best efforts to clean it up, the fact that more shenanigans are going on now really doesn't help their credibility.
