I am sure I am missing some differences, but for the most part AD&D 2E revised is just 2E. There are like 20~30% more pages in the Revised books though.I recall finding that in 2E Revised some of the wording that explained certain concepts was a bit different like weapon proficiencies. 2E revised also referenced tables and other sections better than the original. The equipment list also has a few extra items.  I seem to recall more optional rules in 2E Revised compared to 2E. Optional Rules being things like "Hovering on Death's Door". Obviously the artwork is different but more notably; there is more color artwork in revised than the original. I am generally pretty neutral on original 2E vs Revised 2E, though I lean toward Revsied in most cases. I think the artwork in both is unique and inspiring compared to modern fantasy art styles I see. One thing I believe the Original 2E does WAY better than Revised is the spell list. In the PHB of original 2E; in addition to telling you what spell list you are (wizard vs priest) it always tells you at the top of the page what spell level the spells on the page are. In Revised it just tells you if its in the Wizard or Priest spell section so it takes like twice as long to find spells of a specific level when you are quickly flipping through!</blockquote>
