It always seems that players always bring a thread of some kind in case they need to find their way out of a mazelike place. Well. Wouldn't the bad guys be familiar with these tricks. Here is one of the bad guys solution.
Mazeguard-
Mazeguards are enigmatic creatures created by a wizard with a bad sense of humor. They resembles giant spiders with human heads. They always have a mad smile on their face and long noses. Their attackscream sounds like a manic laughter. They only eat humaniod flesh and can go without any for months before dying. They are released into a part of a mazelike dungeon that is uninhappited. Here they will start to settle down in groups of 3 to 5.
The special about them is the way they hunt... Well they don't really. They mostly wait to ambush anybody humaniod who enter their lair. One of them will go out and spin a thread from some point in the maze back to their lair. The thread resembles an ordinary thread you can get anywhere. The Mazeguard can copy any threads it sees. If it on it''s way out come across another thread it will follow it to one of it's ends. If it leads to the exit of the maze it will consume back to where it found it, magically fuse it with it's own thread (that now resembles the found thread) and lead it back to it's lair. If it leads to the ones laying the thread it will not attack (It has very high move silently and hide in shadows skills). It will instead consume the thread back the way it came to the end of the thread. Then go back and fuse the thread with it's own and lead it back to it's lair. Mazeguards never gets lost, have a movement of 40 and consumes threads at running speed. If it encounters any humanoids outside it's lair it will flee.
