Aragorn could take many of the guys in this contest but not the sullen-eyed barbarian from the north. Conan wins with speed, strength and wild cunning. Mat's luck is a wildcard in this matchup but the fact remains that he is most deadly with an army at his back while Drizzt (much as I hate the character) is one of the deadliest one-on-one fighters in fantasy fiction. Winner: Drizzt. Don't know either one. Didn't read Belgaraid. I agree with wolf, Jack couldn't fight his way out of a wet sack. Tanis defeats him handily This is as bad a mis-match as Conan vs Aragorn. Link is badass to be sure but guts is the fellow who faced down and slew 100 men at once! If Guts could beat Griffith in a duel he can beat Link. Winner: Guts. Huh, Cloud presents a bit of a problem; we are told that he is badass (by virtue of being the hero) but we really do not have any clear idea of his skills. That is all the other characters here we either read about their fights in detail or saw them in action on the screen. With Cloud we watch him take a swipe at an enemy who does not attempt to dodge and then a number representing damage appears ... Heck with it, I vote for Kull. Again, the same problem as with Cloud but this time with an easier solutioun. If Wesley can't outfight Mog he'll still manage to outsmart him. Winner: the Dread Pirate Roberts.
