UPDATED 01/09/2016: Forgot to add the explanation for the Action Point System Rules and Reaction Speed for Attacks of Opportunity Rules. My bad. UPDATED 01/13/2016: Added Attributes Table. Added Undead Turning Table. Ignore the stuff that is too advanced. BASIC VERSION This is a homebrew version of mine which IMO takes the best of 2e, 3e, and 4e and puts them together. I've also added little things from other games as well as invented my own as well. So here's a list of sources where I got the idea from:

RECOVER > More realistic version than 4E's healing surges
SHOCK > 2E's system shock for staying awake at negative health
AIM > Basically just a rename of Thac0 / ATTACK Rating. (Why haven't people thought of this????)
DEFENSES > Most of what's there are my ideas (Others may have used it in other places)
ACTION POINT SYSTEM > Divinity: Original Sin's AP system. All Actions are now measured numerically.
SPELL FAILURE > 2E's spell failure method
REACTION SPEED > Percentile Chance form of Attacks of Opportunity, my idea.
AUTO-SUCCESS POINTS > Reconfigured 4E Hit Dice. Points awarded for crappy rolls.
SKILLS Selection Choices > Mostly my ideas. Never did like WotC's choices.
ABILITIES > 4E's Powers but incredibly trimmed down, more intelligently made, and more tactical. Made to replace 3E's strange Feat system.
PROFICIENCIES > 2E Style but with some Elder Scrolls influences. Basic Made.
PROFESSIONS > Downtime Money Making
I made a more basic version for introducing the local players here. The Basic version trims out the excessive fat leaving a very basic 4E version with my Abilities system. They seem to love it far more than the official versions. Additional Changes made to HomeBrew version:

List of 3E Feats automatically integrated into the Core Rules: (1) Combat Reflexes, (2) Spring Attack, (3) Diehard (modified), (4) Mounted Combat, (5) Point Blank Shot, (6) Cleave, (7) Weapon Finesse, (8) Dodge (in Acrobatics and Abilities), (9) Called Shot, (10) All Proficiencies, (11) Eschew Materials, (12) Empower Spell, (13) Extend Spell, (14) Enlarge Spell, (15) Quicken Spell, (16) Still Spell, (17) Silent Spell, (18) Widen Spell......whew.....
A lot of other feats from Pathfinder and 3E have been converted AND/OR combined with other feats and placed into the Abilities category. The rest of the bloated lesser bonus feats have been discarded.
Parrying, Shield Block, and Dodging are the main defenses and are activable abilities along with their triggerable sub-abilities that can happen mid-turn.
Armor Class system divided into 2 categories only: Deflection and Evasion. All other types of AC have been discarded. Buffs associated with it have been refitted to accomodate the new system.
Yes... even 5E's advantage and disadvantage rules are in here. More for preference though.
3E Spells (with Action Point Costs) have been added now have added effects that enhances their tacticability; Wet + Lightning = Stun. Stuff like that.
Removed 4E Combat Square Rules
Yeah.... Getting tired. Can't remember everything else. I've tried many other things but only came out with failures. Certain systems or methods of doing things became bloated, redundant, too hard to track, too mathematical to track (We're not computers!!), or just plain dumb. So I didn't add them in. There are even more additions in changes, but left them out of the basic version. The complexity of those rules made me segregate them into an Advanced Edition which MAY get released later. Anyhow, enjoy! Cheers!
NOTES: I do not own any of the D&D products and do not claim to own it.
