As far as TV star, misguided singing careers go, Nimoy's is at least entertaining. The song and video may be pure cheese, but the song's actually kind of clever and catchy in its own way. And I OWN a copy of William Shatner's Transformed Man concept album. It's divided up into juxtapositional pairs of tracks, mostly of spoken word performance (which explains the style of delivery for both Lucy in the Sky and Mr. Tambourine Man). They cover themes of war/peace, reality/surreality, and so on. Very much a product of its era.
