That does not have any effect on my argument, unless the implication that negative effects can only be physiologically based is accepted as fundamental. Your arguments are skewed by your sample size. It would appear that a huge percentage of the people you know who have had an interaction with alcohol have had it be negative in effect. Thus it is quite understandable that you would find alcohol to be a pretty plainly bad thing. However others have not had this experience, and the numbers(on the overall population) would not bear out the extremely bad properties that you attribute to alcohol. I suspect someone who's son flipped out and killed himself would have a simillar views of D&D. Would it be equally valid? If you take my comments as an insult, well then I'm sorry. However it is not one, it is merely a statement of facts. Painkillers on balance are a good thing (if you have not had a wisdom tooth out yet, just wait, you will agree). However many people abuse them, and I know people who have caused themselves trouble by their abuse. Does this mean I have a beef against them because a friend got in trouble because of them? No. I accept that many things in this world can be misused, and cast no blame on an inanimate object. buzzard
