I have a magic d20.

Dr Midnight

Explorer
It is clear with purple swirlies.

It has rolled over 15 on almost every attack roll I've ever made with it.

It works best on attack rolls for Dr. Midnight (my PC).

To roll it, I hold it "lucky side down" until the die feels "ripe". I then let it fly.

The other players are continually amazed, and the DM is watching me closely for suspicion of foul play.

I love my magic d20.

Just sharing.

Cheater....:D

Seriously though...sounds a bit like a spin shot in craps...not always completely accurate but able to give you a better chance at the numbers you want. Just make sure it hits the wall or the bets are off! :D

Hey, Doc...did you say hi to Barak for me? Tell him the tall guy from The Acoustically Bent says hi.

Anyhow...I also have a magic d20. It is flat brown with white numerals...quite ugly. My PCs reserve their most virulent fear and hatred for it: they call it the s**t brown die.

So I made up a little song for it:

The die that looks like s**t
Almost always rolls a hit
And often rolls a crit...
So do not mess with it
Or your fate shall be writ:
"The One Who Died A Twit"
By the die that looks like s**t.

A bit like my dice of death. Which continually role 1's. As in like my dragonstar games where two bad guys attempting to throw grenades both rolled ones, then low again (In my campaign thats like a bad thing). All the PC's saw where two pins coming through the door, a shout of "Oh shi--- *BOOM!*"

Purple swirlies are broken in 3E!

I'm the DM, and I can't roll for nothing. Dice have been known to be punished with a sudden, fast trip to the living room. There has been more than one occasion that the group has done something totally stupid and I say to myself, "I sure hate to kill them, but they made their choice," and then wind up doing barely any damage at all.
