I have a question???

I was wondering how many very old school players remember Venger from the Cartoon aeries of Dungeons and Dragons with Hank the Ranger, Bobby the Barbarian, Presto the Magician and all the others. I'm asking the question because I was wondering if anyone has done a D20 conversion of Venger for D&D. I do know that Warduke was placed in one of the Dungeon magazines a couple of years ago and was really cool, I just wished I would have bought that magazine for the stats on Warduke. Any information would be very much appreciated and Thanks.

Yeah, I remember that series very well. I hadn't long started running D&D games, and when the guys in school found out I was the dungeonmaster they immediately thought I was representing the short, funny looking DM in the cartoon. Still, at least none of them ever heard about the whole D&D = devil worshipping storm.

Not sure when I became very old school though. I'm only 33, which is pretty average for these boards.

Warduke's stats were great. From what I remember he is only a 19th level fighter but is CR 20 becasue he has fantastic ability scores and some cool gear.

I could never figure out what Venger was supposed to be. Some sort of demon prince, maybe - hence his war with Tiamat and his shadow demon sidekick? Makes it hard to do stats when you don't know where to start.

I remember the series somewhat. I enjoyed watching it, but my folks, at the time, thought D&D was all about devil worship (they don't anymore)...and I didn't get a chance to watch it much.

According to the never aired final episode, it turned out that Venger was actually Dungeon Master's son!
He looked twisted and was evil becuase he had been cursed.

No idea where to find stats for him though.

Aha. That makes it so much easier!

We just need Dungeon Master's stats and then it will take next to no time to whip up a half-Dungeon Master template.

Then, once we find out what race his mother was, we simply apply the template to that. Oh, and decide what Venger's class levels are.

I'm beginning to see why Venger stats are hard to come by. :)

I heard something like the Dungeonmaster and venger were kin and he apparently has a sister too. One of the episodes has his sister, I guess I need to get ahold of my friend's tapes of D&D and watch them someday. I would have thought he was a cambion or something like that. I will have to come up with my own stats without Dungeonmaster interferance and have him go against Iuz of Greyhawk then since no one has written up stats on Venger.

I checked your website!!!

Hey DnDchick,

I checked your website and could not find a download section, have you placed them on your website yet andif not how did you figure out what venger would have been converted to for D20/3.5 and help would be very much appreciated since my player wanted Venger in the game of Greyhawk. I also saw your Furry info, would not happen to have stats for a wolfen type race would you? They would not be classified as dogs since they are more powerful then Dogs even though they are a strong hybrid of our canine friends.

I don't have the D&D cartoon character stats on my website. I will put them into a document and mail them to you if you like.
