Mine are as well. Of course, I had to make it that way... In my area (within a few miles or so) I have 12 friends or so who play D&D. Three of us run our own campaigns with various combinations of people from this pool of 13 or so (when counting me). When 4e came out, it got all of us back into D&D - most of us having not played since 3e was released! My first campaign contained the first 5 players who were ready to get in on a regular game. When that campaign ended (end of last year), I was faced with a dilemma... I now had 12 people who all wanted to be part of my next campaign, including 4 (at that point) who had just played in my last campaign (and were expecting to be a shoe-in for the next one). So, I decided (since I had to narrow it down somehow) that i would hand pick my players catered to my preferences as a DM and based on who i thought would fit best the campaign I had been talking about for a little while at that point. I did my best, but some feelings were hurt in the process initially (I did not include any of the players from my original campaign). I have no regrets though. This has been one of the best (if not THE best) campaigns I have ever run and for sure the best group of players I have had the pleasure running games for. <edit> Those few players who were initially upset are fine now - no hard feelings - and are playing in other campaigns, including some that I play in myself </edit>
