My first campaign contained the first 5 players who were ready to get in on a regular game. When that campaign ended (end of last year), I was faced with a dilemma... I now had 12 people who all wanted to be part of my next campaign, including 4 (at that point) who had just played in my last campaign (and were expecting to be a shoe-in for the next one).So, I decided (since I had to narrow it down somehow) that i would hand pick my players catered to my preferences as a DM and based on who i thought would fit best the campaign I had been talking about for a little while at that point.I did my best, but some feelings were hurt in the process initially (I did not include any of the players from my original campaign). I have no regrets though. This has been one of the best (if not THE best) campaigns I have ever run and for sure the best group of players I have had the pleasure running games for.<edit> Those few players who were initially upset are fine now - no hard feelings - and are playing in other campaigns, including some that I play in myself </edit></blockquote>
