I've just picked up 3.5, being left of the pre-orders list almost lost them the money but somebody else who hasn't picked up their PHB (which I now hold in my hands) yet is missing out instead.
How do I feel about the books: Probably not needed, but I haven't made a RPG purchase in a while, and if there is a financial reason WOTC revised the books it is because purchases from my household were at an all time low.
Also, the thaumgist PRC makes me want to make a new character.
