I did manage to spot a pair of bugbears in the distance (Spot) and stay out of sight (Hide) while climbing up a tree (Climb), run across the branches (Balance, Move Silent and Jump checks) then leap at them from above, grappling one of them, delivering a coup de grace, and then taking out the other one (while the rest of my party was getting drunk at the tavern!). I think my DM took some liberties with the checks for my benefit, seeing that I was on the verge of pulling off the best move we've ever seen at our gaming table.But I digress....</blockquote>
