Putting out one book per class and race was just too much.I think it also didn't help that TSR was trying to support a whole bunch of campaign settings all at once. I can easily see WotC deciding to only support one setting at a time, like they did with 4e. So they're only going to provide content for the Realms right now, but once they've decided enough is enough, they'll move on to something else and just provide content for that setting until they're finished with that and then move on to the next one and so on. So all the settings may end up getting support, just not all at the same time. So you won't have multiple settings competing for people's attention (and dollars).</blockquote>
