In life Chezraak was the first good goblin to rise to the status of chieftain and convert an entire goblin nation to the service of goodness. On his home plane, the goblins remain chaotic good -- kindly woodland creatures prone to pranks -- to this very day. Upon his death, a great god of good promoted him to demigod status and he has working ever since to save his people from ravenous darkness that currently consumes them. Chezraak's primary doctrine is "You are what you choose to be." Just because all of your tribe are bloodthirsty monsters doesn't mean you have to be. You can be greater and lead your people out of darkness and ignorance. Unlike most goblin gods, the Hopeful encourages learning and his most frequent followers are goblin wizards. Still, for all his goodness, Chezraak does have a mean prankish streak. Several of Chezraak's most beloved celebrations involves tricking good friends, though always in a non-lethal manner.
