Plus, I'm getting to start him out at 6th level (the level my former character would have been), so he's gonna be Large size, and I'm thinking, REALLY big axe. I know my DM, he's not trying to hose me around. It's just the way he plays... he's not so flexible or an "outside of the box" type DM. He runs the game 1st Ed. style dungeon crawls with brief bits of story thrown in, basically to get us from one dungeon to another. It's not really bad, it's fun.. at least I'm playing again.
Whoa... that one's pretty cool. On a side note, this just came to mind. Something that bugged me... when talking about my future character, my DM asked me what kind of weapon I was gonna use, and I said "as big an axe as I can hold", because, you know, you ALWAYS see minotaurs carrying big honkin' axes. Plus, I'm getting to start him out at 6th level (the level my former character would have been), so he's gonna be Large size, and I'm thinking, REALLY big axe. But, my DM looks at me and says "You might want to consider a greatsword, because you're more likely to find a magic greatsword for a large weapon." Well, grrr, is all I can say. But man, I just feel limited now. It's not key to my character vision to have an axe, in fact, it's very stereotypical of me, but I was going off the whole idea that it's a very stereotypical game. Uh, minus the minotaur bit. I guess I am just ranting here, and this ain't the forum to do it in. Keep bringing on the pictures! Although this last one will be hard to beat.;) Game's not for another week and a half though. P.S. oh yeah, I'm not set up right now to browse newsgroups, sorry. :(
