I've just joined a new group of really awesome players halfway through the SoW path. This gave me a chance to try out Paragon Tier for the first time, and I've loved it. Now my character is about to hit level 17, and I'm trying hard not to squeal with girlish glee as we approach Epic. My character is a Hybrid Artificer/Swordmage. I've long considered the Archlich Epic Destiny for his build, and I think I'm going to take it. The only problem I'm having is that one of Archlich's coolest abilities is the ability to recharge a Fear or Necrotic Encounter or Daily power. A cool ability, but alas, my character has no useful Fear or Necrotic powers to choose from. I clung to Vampiric Weapons for a long time, but it's not a good choice for our party composition. So, I need to hunt for the perfect Fear or Necrotic power. I've decided to part with however many feats it takes to get the one I want; it's okay, the character's a human, so he can more or less afford it. The reason I'm coming here for advice instead of a char-op forum because I'm interested in fluf as well as crunch. My character's backstory is that he was in a magical accident that basically gave him a magical Midas touch. Anything he came into contact with became enchanted, but it was a random and unpredictable power, and his leveling up is him learning how to better control and harness it and so on. The explanation for the Archlich destiny will be that the magical catastrophe that gave him powers also poisoned him. So the only thing keeping his body going is the ridiculous amounts of magical energy flowing through him; basically a lich. This is when I get to have fun and get really creepy and eerie with describing his powers. I'm imagining stuff like his flesh burning away in arcane fire to reveal bones scribed with twirling runes. So, sell me on a power. An Encounter or Daily Fear or Necrotic power, that I'm willing to multiclass for. Highest stats are Int and Con, only ones I'm likely to hit on an attck with.
