I guess it could help if I include some notes on "what is happening" now in the campaign. Right now, the whole group has finally run out of information on just where Darius Franz and his brother Hanz are. They are a pair of very... "odd" brothers, who the PCs have been hunting down for a long time. They talk like the Ambigously Gay Duo from Saturday Night Live fame, tend to run like hell any time the PCs are around, and are completely narcisistic. The reason why they are being huntes: They were a minor running gag that one player finally had enough of and tried to murder them. They barely got away, and the players have been hunting them down ever since. The players paid a 2,000 gp fine for attempted murder in the city where they first made the attempt, and have been after them ever since. The Players want their money, and they want to put an end to Hanz Franz, and Darius Franz. Most of the more... "serious" players have been trying to manage a rather dangerous slave trade going on in the region. They go around killing slavers, and they free slaves. It's not illegal to trade slaves, but I think the players just wanted something to kill and started this war on thier own. The region they are in right now is the region where slavers come to collect people to make them into slaves, not the region where slaves are dumped onto. That is why they have been able to get away with it. Most of the NPC population is Nezumi or Lizardfolk. Also, the group is trying to take advantage of thier brute strength, and are trying to make a business out of bounty hunting people who trade illegal substances from the region they are in, to the empire. After the PCs catch a troup of drug dealers, they often use the drugs on themselves, or sell them in town. Maybe it should be noted, that in previous sessions they spent a lot of time trying to make a fortune in every town they pass through. They drain about 25% of a towns wealth before moving on to another town. They also killed a rather heavily-fortified kobold den, and enslaved about 50% of the kobolds, all thier eggs, and all thier children -then sold it all to market.
