You have a good start to a nice day of conversation, etc. Start with the walk by the river. Do it before dinner so the air is a bit warm compared to the evening. Then have dinner, walking will have given you both an appetite, and seated time will give you a chance to rest those legs. From there, go old school on the stereotypical movie and try a play. I did a quick Google and found both Cercle Molière which seems to have something going on, but my French is too limited to really know. Hopefully yours is stronger. Phantom of the Opera is at the Centennial Concert Hall. You could make the 7:30 pm show and get the cheap seats for about $100 for the pair of you (you didn't mention a budget). If you want to shuffle the day around, you could visit the Winnipeg Art Gallery before dinner as the big event. They are doing guided tours of Rodin: A Magnificent Obsession. Rodin is the sculptor who did 'the Thinker' to tie that to reality. He's also known for The Kiss which is a bit more romantic (hubba hubba!) and ties into a 'special date' for you and the lady. RODIN ADMISSION Adults $11 / Student/Senior $9 / Youth ages 6 to 12 $6 / Let's see, what else? You can't do a movie, may not like plays and musicals, and perhaps an art gallery would give you the hives? How about nature? FortWhyte Alive claims to be in your area. At sunset you can watch the geese as they migrate.
