Hi all,
Recently I was asked to design for my DM a Green Ronin style Holy Warrior for a god of time. Changing the Holy Warrior over to 3.5 is fairly easy task, as I can extrapolate from the Book of Fiends' Unholy Warrior.
My problem comes when choosing domain powers. There is no Time domain, and I'd like to design one. I have a few vague ideas, but consulting the oracle that is EN World is never a bad idea.
This particular Holy Warrior, tentatively titled the Epoch, is used as an instrument of the time god for correcting and preventing damage to the time stream. In addition, they are charged with destroying aberrations, which in my Dm's campaign world come from a domain outside regular time.
My thoughts thus far, and I'm not sure what might be viable, are as follows:
- An agelessness power, similar to that of the druid's
- Spells that effect time, like Haste, Time Stop, ect being difficult to cast within a certain range of the Epoch, possibly certain divinations as well "piercing time and space", and all that.
- Perhaps allowing them to turn, but not destroy, aberrations instead of undead
- Ideas for time/space spell-like abilities for the "Gift of God" powers...maybe Blink, followed by Haste
In any case, I need to organize these ideas into the three tiered domain powers of a potential Holy Warrior Time domain. Any thoughts?
