Personally, I feel that most PrCs are meant to make NPCs and Villains seem a breed apart from PCs. But that being said, there are alot of them that are very cool for PCs to take. I cannot offer advice on what I think is good and what is not, as all PrCs are relative to the campaign setting and storyline going on. Alot of people seem to not like the Inquisitor, but if the game you are running is based heavily on religion and demonic invasion of a sorts, then this class is good for the game. Alot of epople seem to like the Duellist (me included), but what if the game setting/storyline makes this class almost silly to take? Then it is not a good class. Now, there are a few PrCs that I feel do not fit into ANY game: The Oozemaster. What the %$#& were they thinking here? It makes a great villain, but man is it a dumb PC class. The Hexer. Another class thats cool for Villains, but what a waste of space for PCs. Fang of Lloth. Silly. Very silly. "Hey, Im turning into a giant friggin spider!" Hunter of the Dead: Ok, its a cool class, but I feel that KenzerCos Players Guide has a much better Undead Hunter in it (The Order of the Slayer). Alienist. This belongs in Cthulu, not D&D. Its too "out there" for my tastes. The Blade Singer. A boring class that could have had alot of flavor, but failed. Didnt they redo this class and put it on the WotC site? Dragon Desciple. Too broken. The Wayfarer Guide. Like the Blade Singer, it could have been cool, but isnt. Drunken Master. Broken. No really. Look at the abilities. Its too powerful. Like I said, this is all relative to my game, my style of playing and my bias. Except the Oozemaster. I dont know ANYONE that likes that as a PC class... -=Grim=-
