I read the Gollumeth book, and…
I have to admit that I have finally gave in and purchased this fantasy book called, Gollumeth, the bloodline of Horredath. I have seen threads about this book here and there, but after I saw some of the illustrations, I became curious. Believe me, I thought it was going to be another LOTR wanna-be, but it's not even close. I actually enjoyed the book.
I want to know if anyone else has read this book. I am curious what other people think. This author, B.D.Castro is new to me. I've never heard about him before. He is the author and illustrator. I can appreciate that since the book was pretty good. I admit it. I think that this is his first book because his website shows mostly artwork and graphic design stuff.
I think that there will be another one because he left it open to be a series, but it does not say that it is, anywhere amongst the book.
I had to order the book. It wasn't available at a bookstore, but they ordered it for me.
I sent an e-mail to this B.D.Castro because I saw on another site that he gives out posters of the land Gollumeth. The map is in the book, but I want the color poster! It has been two weeks and I have not received it yet. Has anyone else received a poster? I guess I will send him another e-mail to see if he is out of them or what have you.
I feel as if he is starving to get exposure. I guess that's the case with anyone trying to make it in a genre of thousands upon thousands of fantasy stories out there. I'm not sure if he is popular in europe, but he's new to me here in the US. I'll read his stuff again if he makes another. Oh, and if he sends me the map!
