Very very good, well done, much more than I had expected, in fact. However, the end wasn't great,
In general, the movie was accurate to the limited Japanese language that I know, and in looking up the period in the encyclopedia, I found that while, the story may not have been accurate, there was a rather innefective and weak willed emperor at that time. btw, the mass battle scenes were cool, and it also skims the topic of colonial Americans slaughtering the native americans.
And yes, it is a good movie, worth seeing for sure
ie when Tom Cruise got shot and his horse landed on him, but then you see him in the next seen walking up to the emperor, why can't they just kill the main character once in a while!
