Okay, so I went down to my LGS today to buy a copy of Paizo's Pathfinder Chronicles: Guide to Korvosa, and I was surprised to see that they had the 4th Edition core rulebooks out for everyone to look through but not buy. There were a whole table stacked with them as well as the core rulebook gift box. I looked through them, of course, and I have to say the quality of the books is very good. And this is from someone who isn't going to be switching to 4e. The book design is very clean and crisp with a simple white background. I spent most of my time lookingthrough the Player's Handbook and Monster Manual, but, in truth, I just wasn't compelled to read the books. So, what am I telling you all this? Well, I just wanted to let everyone in Edmonton know that WARP 1 has the core rulebooks and that you can go to look at them tomorrow and that they go on sale Thursday at Midnight (or 12:01 a.m.). Also, while I'm not a 4e fanboy by any means I can see the appeal of the new edition. I suspect it will sell like crazy and that it will bring in a ton of new gamers into the industry. I might buy the Player's Handbook, but I haven't decided yet. More than likely I'll buy Paizo's Pathfinder Gazetteer first and then the d20 Freeport Companion and Cults of Freeport (if I can find them). Oh yes, BTW, Guide to Korvosa rocks! I'm already looking for a place to put it in my World of Kulan campaign setting.
