Brakes are normal part of any hobby. Sometimes you take brake voluntary, sometimes life puts hobbys on the break. First involuntary brake was on my first year of Uni, HS group fell appart. I didn't go look for another group for about year, year and a half. Second was when half our group got kids in same year, i got married that year also, so it is what it is. First voluntary brake i took was when i got burned out on D&D and fantasy. It just wasn't fun anymore. I was up to play or run anything other than D&D or classic fantasy. Even urban fantasy was ok. Rest of the group had fun in campaign that was going, we didn't have time to cram 2 games, so i took a brake for year, bit more. Last few years, we have summer brake from mid June to mid September ( from the end of school year to the second week of new school year). It's summer holidays. We scatter all over coast ( all of us use at least 3 weeks of vacation, plus some remote work, so yeah). Due to work, this year, we are still on pause. Last session was in early June, it's end of October. Next session will probably be second weekend of November ( 1.11 is All saints day, so no go).
