The humor is designed to mask how strongly I sympathize for Mark, and how much I'd hurt in his place. It's a pretty consistent defense mechanism for me.

See now my defense mechanism is either a) kicking someone in the mommy-daddy button, or b) punching them in the throat. Just shows how much different I am from Mr. Cat.

Anyways my sympathies to you Mark, and to echo what DinkleDog said if you need anything don't hesitate to call/email.
