For those that don't know, Ian Richards is the RPGA Program Manager at Wizards. He started a thread on hordelings.com to ask for feedback on D&D XP. Here's a few of his comments: To date I have a few things to ponder but a few replies to clear a few things up. The Hotel has very strict policy on outside catering. The Pizza I ordered for the Judges one day as they were working without lunch break, had to be delivered to security at the back of the Hotel here I had to pick it up. We'll talk to them some more but this might be a difficult one to get around. The front desk had a full list of delivery services which ranged from Pizza to pasta and more. Over 25 delivery companies. Plus they also had a full list of restaurants which a shuttle would drop you at. We'll certainly make sure to have that available next year for all attendees. Wi-Fi connection is sadly beyond our control as is the cell phone connection. The North East has the largest and fastest growing RPGA player base and hence DC, with the great connection to both Europe and North America is ideally situated to support that. Lastly why February? Well in March we go to GAMA and announce what we're doing there. We really want to talk to our fans first and therefore the event has to be before that. So the choices are limited. President's Day weekend means some will have the Monday off and therefore are able to stay later on Sunday. So there is a lot of reasons to why we're here and why this time of year. Anyway keep the views coming as it's all great feedback even if it's just to agree with other posters. The more we're told something needs to change or remain the same the more it helps me/us plan for the future. Thanks again Ian The thread: http://www.hordelings.com/frontend/forums/postView.php?viewPage=0&post_id=56221 Cheers!
