Donnell held the weak dwarf as he drank, and the powerful liquid helped to steady the fellow on his feet, "Mm'grateful, laddie. Jost gimme a wall t'lean on, an' I'll be raight as stone soon enoof." Gimlak's orc was able to stand on his own, and he only grunted his appreciation for being freed, but Gimlak could tell from the look in his eyes that it meant more than he could say. At any rate, there was too much to do to spend time with niceties. Kahru lunged to meet the big giant torturer in the hall, and he side-stepped the giant's attempt to clamp onto him with the pliers. Waythe sang out as she plunged deep into the giant's side, getting past the very thick fabric of the giant's stained apron. When Kahru pulled her free, the giant stumbled and fell flat on his masked face, dead. The giant's body took up much of the room in the short hallway, but the Colonel leaped over and stood by the doors, getting his first glimpse of the other giant, who was very similar in dress, if slightly shorter in build. He had dropped his own rucksack and now held something that looked like a one-handed club, but flat like a paddle, and a thing in his other hand that looked like a really large meat-hook. He rushed at the Colonel, and though the old soldier was prepared to defend himself, the flat paddle struck him hard, mashing him against the door. The giant pulled the paddle back to see if he'd squashed a bug, and when he saw the Colonel still breathing, he came at him with the meat-hook. This time, the Colonel was fast enough to dodge, and the hook left a splintered mark in the heavy wood of the door. Leaving the Orc, Gimlak crossed the room to a point where he could see the giant, and he attacked his mind - selfish, slow, and mean, like much of his kin. The giant shook his head, confused, though his focus was still on the Colonel. [ooc]Uh... I have the Colonel, after taking 23 damage from the "paddle", at ONE HP. Did I miss some healing somewhere? Kahru Killed HGT2, Gimlak did 5 to HGT1. Try to help me remember that he'll have Disadvantage on his next round's attack.[/ooc]
