She turned in the doorway to face the battle still ongoing in the other room just in time to see that the explosion had drawn the ire of the remaining drow down upon her. </p><p></p><p>Levanna's hand shot out and she released a contained spell from her ring. She got the magical shield up in time to stop two of the missiles, but a third penetrated her mage armor, the skirt of her dress, and the flesh of her thigh. Pain shot up through her leg and the familiar burning sensation of the dark elf's poison seeping in. She tore the bolt away, causing her to cry out again. She felt her magical hold on the dwarf slip slightly, and it was all she could do to keep the spell's energies going and reassert it. </p><p></p><p>Levanna scrambled backward while holding her leg, moving away from the doorway. She got halfway toward the witch's corpse before she stumbled and fell on her back. A blood stain grew larger on her clothing. Her hand clutched the wound and some primal instinct urged her to keep it away from the filthy sewer floor.</p><p></p><p><span style="color: #6666CC">"Ciymthrax! I need you!"</span> the wizard called out as she summoned her celestial hawk. He materialized in the air before her, flapping his wings as he settled down on Levanna's abdomen.
