[sblock=OOC:] I was about to say that Berrek finishes the gesture shaking hands with Menhir, but Ambrus posted twice quickly. I thought that you put Lidia down immediately after demonstration. Also, would Menhir recognize signs of 'disappointment and frustration' on human? [/sblock] [sblock=For Rathan] I want to know if someone within sight/hearing of Berrek tries to detect magic on an artifact (roll relevant skill as needed). He watches for such an event and can recognize casting of detect magic and/or concentration needed. Once he detects it, he watches the user closely for reactions, unsure whether his detection has anything to do with his loss of memory or his abilities. [/sblock] Berrek feels frustrated because of misunderstanding, but not disappointed by any measure. He is more confused, unsure whether to take this refusal as an insult or as simple social ineptness of the elemental. Taking into consideration behaviour shown before, he takes it as latter and laughs it off. "Well, Lidia, it seems you have lots and lots of work to do with this one. Couldn't Earth send someone accustomed to more human contact?" "Hm, you are right Lidia, we would take forever on foot, but we can't afford horses and man to guard them. How about we take the carriage and make a deal with it's owner that he is to pick us up somewhere at a time specified in sending he will receive at a later date? once he delivers us in the vicinity of the keep he is free to return and continue his business until we call him back." While others respond to the idea, Berrek turns (crouches) to Menhir again and lowers his voice so he doesn't interrupt others in speaking. "Menhir, how do you feel touch when immersed? Hm, that's sounds wrong. What I want to know is, you indicated that you cannot see while under earth, but you have to sense your surroundings somehow. Do you feel touch of earth while traveling in such manner and can you make distinction between touch of human and touch of let say tree?"
