Cures and Curiosities As Benny scrambles over the iron railing he climbs down to dangle a couple feet off the table. Maybe a human could have even touched the table with their toes but the young, impulsive, child is just too short. Max whispers out loud, "Benny, are you sure this is a good idea? I'm pretty sure I saw that mist moving around. What makes you think it won't just move?" Deidre looks worried as well, knowing that the mist definitely isn't caused by any of the spilled potions, it's hard to determine what it might be. Benny, in all his young life, hadn't ever seen or heard of such a strange mist but, as he was hanging there, it occurred to him that the Radiant Servant, Levenshire had turned into a mist just before he'd escaped. He wondered to himself, at that moment, whether the mist could be some kind of undead. All these things crossed people's thoughts as Benny let go of the wrought iron and accidently slipped down, landing on the table hard and falling on his back. Potions scattered across the table and tipped over, some spilling and some falling to the floor and breaking. Benny had landed on a potion which shattered under him and was now covered with some kind of blue, sticky liquid across his back. Max came down to hover just above him to make sure he was okay. Benny stood up awkwardly, looking around at the room from a new perspective. The people on the ground were definitely dead. They looked pasty and slightly dessicated as if the fluids had been pulled out of them. Looking across at the man at the front door, the scene was now obvious: a group of survivors had taken refuge here and locked and barricaded the door...but something happened and one of them had fled to the door and tried to push the table away from the door to escape back outside. Outside with the zombies. What was so terrifying that someone would rather be outside with the zombies? The mist itself had a faint red tint to it. There were many potions but none were accessible without jumping to the next table. Benny was considering how he might get to the next table, when he looked around and then noticed a strange thing: the mist by the dead person at the front door had dispersed. Much of it had coalesced closer to Benny, around the table where he was standing. In fact, it seemed to be getting deeper and deeper, flowing over the table now, touching is boots and shins.
I'm not sure who is down there. I assumed Max joined you. If so, I'll let you decide who gets to make a Constitution DC: 13 saving throw. If not, Benny gets to make the save. The ladder, going back up to the balcony is behind the main counter and is 5 feet from the table where Benny is standing. It would require him to stand on the floor.
